V5iD recently participated in Identity Week America 2026 in Washington, D.C., bringing together leaders, technology companies, government organizations, and innovators from across the identity and security industry.

Held September 2–3 at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center, Identity Week America attracted more than 3,000 professionals and featured more than 250 exhibitors and 250 speakers. The event provided an opportunity to explore how new technologies are changing the way organizations establish trust and verify identity.

For V5iD, the event was an opportunity not only to demonstrate our technology, but also to listen to the industry and learn what organizations need from modern identity verification solutions.

A Strong Response to V5iD's Technology

Our booth received an exceptional level of interest throughout the event.Located between two stages, our booth had excellent visibility and a steady flow of visitors. More importantly, many of the conversations were with organizations actively looking for practical identity verification solutions.

Visitors were particularly interested in how V5iD can combine document verification, AI-powered verification, biometric technologies, and specialized identity-scanning devices into solutions that can integrate with existing business processes.

We demonstrated that identity verification does not have to rely on a single technology or workflow. Different environments require different approaches, and organizations need the flexibility to choose the technology that best fits their needs.

Demonstrating Device-Based Identity Verification

One of the key areas we showcased was our growing ecosystem of identity verification devices.

V5iD continues to expand integrations with specialized hardware capable of reading driver's licenses, government-issued identification cards, passports, and other identity documents.

These integrations allow organizations to use dedicated devices for fast and reliable document capture while connecting the verification process to V5iD's verification services.

This approach is particularly valuable in environments where a dedicated scanner or verification device can provide a faster and more controlled experience than a smartphone-only workflow.

Potential applications include hospitality, retail, financial services, access control, age verification, and other environments where organizations need to establish identity quickly and reliably.

Identity Verification Is Becoming More Flexible

One of the strongest impressions we took away from Identity Week America was how quickly the identity landscape is evolving. Identity verification is no longer a single technology or a single workflow.

Organizations are combining:

  • Digital identity
  • Document verification
  • Biometrics
  • Liveness detection
  • AI-based fraud detection
  • Mobile identity
  • Physical identity documents
  • Dedicated verification hardware
  • API-based identity services

The challenge is bringing these technologies together into a simple experience while maintaining security, privacy, and reliability.

This is an area where V5iD is particularly focused.

From the Booth to Real Conversations

Trade shows can be measured by the number of visitors, but we believe the real value comes from the conversations that happen afterward.

During Identity Week America, we spoke with companies from a wide range of industries and learned about their identity verification challenges, existing systems, integration requirements, and plans for future deployments.

These conversations helped us identify new opportunities for integrations and partnerships while giving our team a better understanding of where the market is heading.

We also had the opportunity to demonstrate our technology to organizations that had not previously considered how device-based identity verification could complement remote and online verification.

A Growing V5iD Ecosystem

The interest at Identity Week America comes at an important time for V5iD.

We are continuing to expand our platform with new verification capabilities and integrations with identity-scanning hardware and business systems.

Our goal is straightforward: make reliable identity verification easier to integrate into the systems organizations already use.

Whether verification happens remotely through a mobile device or through a dedicated scanner at a physical location, organizations should be able to use the same core verification technology and connect it to their existing applications.

Looking Ahead

Identity Week America 2026 reinforced something we see every day in our work: the demand for trusted identity verification is growing across industries.

At the same time, organizations are looking for solutions that are practical, flexible, and easy to integrate—not technology that requires them to completely redesign their existing systems.

We are grateful to everyone who visited the V5iD booth, shared their ideas, demonstrated their technology, or took the time to discuss their identity verification challenges with our team.

The conversations we started in Washington, D.C., will continue well beyond the show.

Thank you to the Identity Week America team and to everyone who made this event such a valuable experience for V5iD. We look forward to turning these new conversations into partnerships, integrations, and better identity verification solutions.
